Deep Dive in OWL
Practical OWL is an in-depth introduction into advanced aspects of OWL. Participants learn to use hands-on complex modelling techniques. The finer details of the specification are discussed extensively. The course focuses on common modelling patterns and their pitfalls. The participant gains insight into working with restrictions. Inferencing is discussed extensively. TopBraid Composer (the free edition) is used during the course. The course book Demystifying OWL for the Enterprise by Michael Uschold is handed out free of charge.
After following this course, you are able to:
• Apply OWL when creating information models
• Assess the quality of an OWL model
• Understand how inferencing works and how you can apply it
• Position OWL in relation to relevant other standards
• To appreciate the finer details of OWL
Maintain an overview of the various modeling patterns that you encounter in practice

For this training it is desirable that you have followed the training "Linked Data for Practitioners - Basic techniques", or have a comparable level of knowledge.
This training does not lead to a specific certificate. It is, however, possible to do a written knowledge quiz.
